The Short Master’s Course ‘The responsible business: new tools and skills for sustainability’ is an innovative training course designed to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the trajectories of sustainable innovation, integrating scientific and managerial skills. The objective is to transform sustainability into a concrete competitive advantage, providing operational tools to face the challenges of ecological transition and business innovation.

Who it is aimed at

The programme is aimed at undergraduates, graduates and graduates with work experience, and aims to train them as Sustainability Project Leaders. These key figures will be able to coordinate complex sustainability processes within companies, supporting SMEs and large enterprises in achieving ESG targets and adopting sustainable strategies.

Organised in collaboration between Forethinking Srl and the Department of Economics, Management and Business Law (DEMDI) of the University of Bari ‘Aldo Moro’, the Short Master’s Course is sponsored by RSM Italy, the Small Industry Committee and the Young Entrepreneurs Group of Confindustria Bari and BAT. This synergy guarantees a high-level training offer, characterised by a multidisciplinary approach and expert lecturers in the academic and entrepreneurial fields.

Scientific Committee

The Scientific Committee of the Master’s Course is composed of Prof. Fabrizio Baldassarre (DEMDI Uniba, Director of the Short Master’s Course), Dr. Gennaro Durante (CEO Forethinking Srl) and Prof. Giovanni Lagioia (DEMDI Uniba), guaranteeing scientific and methodological supervision of the training course.

Course Modules and Topics

Through an innovative didactic method, the course provides a mix of theory and practice, with guided company visits and direct testimonials from industry professionals. The teaching modules address crucial topics such as sustainability megatrends, sustainable procurement, eco-design, sustainability reporting, EPD and other environmental certifications. Particular attention is paid to alignment with new European regulations, such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), to train up-to-date professionals ready to respond to market needs.
